Built in 1982 for the CEO of the Sunshine Silver Mine, it has also been owned by the General Manager of the world’s most successful Dodge dealer – the front of a Dodge is still displayed in the game room! It’s now owned by the Bendis family, owners of the Bendistillery in Bend, Oregon, which has received awards for its unique small-batch American distilled spirits.

With 4 stories and numerous decks overlooking the mountains and golf course, this very special vacation property has been described as a “mountain lodge” and even as a “castle” by some. It will sleep 18 (, and has been totally renovated in fall of 2005 with all new furniture, paint, and more.

Activities
In winter, Nordic ski out the door or alpine ski at Silver Mountain Ski Area 5 minutes away. In the spring, summer and fall, golf at the #6-rated golf course in the U.S., road bike ride on 72 mile Coeur d'Alene trails, or simply enjoy the spacious home and grounds, with gazebo, gardens, and rock waterfall. Take the world's longest gondola up Silver Mountain for a 4000 vertical foot descent mountain bike ride. Look Out Mountain and the trailhead of the Route of the Hiawatha is 20 minutes away. Visit the nearby town of Wallace ID to see the Oasis Bordello Museum – featured on the Northwest Backroads TV show. Get some roller coaster riding thrills at nearby Silverwood Theme Park.

Rates
During the off-season (April 1-May 25, and Sept 5–Nov 20), rent for 2 nights at $625/night, and the 3rd night is free! This makes your stay less than $425/night – for up to 18 people!

Weekly rates during the off-season are $2,500/week. During the regular season, rates are $625/night, $3,000/week. Year-round, monthly rate is $6,000/month. Minimum stay is 3 nights during all seasons. All taxes are already included in these rates.

There is a $500 security deposit required to make your reservation – fully refundable after your stay if there are no damages. You may cancel up to 30 days before your scheduled stay and receive a full refund of the deposit. Rental fees are due in full within 30 days of your arrival date. Pets ok with $150.00 deposit ($100.00 refunded if there are no damages). No smoking.
